Does Luck Exist Infographic – Speculations about What is Luck
I spent a lot of time creating a few infographics. This time it is my Does Luck Exist? infographic.
I wanted to have an infographic about luck that asked the question of whether luck exists.
That’s a loaded question, because of so many varying opinions on it. However, most opinions can probably be boiled down to yes, no, or maybe, like so many other questions that are difficult to come to an agreement on.
The definition of luck really doesn’t help much in determining exactly what luck is. One can come to the conclusion that luck, if indeed it does exist, means different things to different people. Some deny there is such a thing as luck, while others sometimes depend on luck. It is likely most of us hope we are lucky some time or another. That hope is usually for good luck to come our way.
There are questions on exactly what luck is. However, I have tried to indicate on the graphic some characteristics of luck. Shown are some of the things that are thought of when describing luck. This includes what some famous people have said about it.Take a look at my Does Luck Exist? infographic and if you like it, let others know by tweeting, sharing or liking on Facebook. Be sure to Google+ it if you have such a Google account so I’ll know you’ve seen it.

What’s your take on luck?
From my observations there seems to be little consensus on exactly what luck is. Different people have different ideas about luck. Some of that depends on where you live, what country, what your customs are.
There are countries where many people don’t even believe in luck. To me it appears that instead of luck it is the belief in karma. Karma is well-known in the United States and seems to be somewhat different from luck.
Aside from that, there are many superstitions about luck. Many about good luck, others about bad luck. Not too many of us want to have anything to do with bad luck. Speaking of luck there are certain situations where luck is important. Take going into a casino. Everyone wants good luck.
What about taking a final exam in your college class and you haven’t studied like you should have? A lot is on the line so it is imperative you have good luck and pass. When it comes to bad luck that is a “horse of a different color“. No one wants bad luck to happen to them. That’s likely true even if the person doesn’t believe in luck.
